Blessing Okagbare qualifies for the Semis.


Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare this morning at the Luzhniki Stadium Moscow, ran a time of 11.03 seconds to win her Heat 4 of the Women's 100m at the ongoing World Athletics Championship, Moscow 2013.

She has now been drawn in lane 4 of the Semi-Finals Heat 1 scheduled for Monday afternoon 4.05pm.
Her main opposition in the Semis are American Octavious Freeman (PB. 10.83), Trinidad & Tobago's Michelle-Lee Ahye (PB-11.06) and Jamaican Schillione Calvert (PB- 11.07).

Okagbare's compatriot Gloria Asumnu also qualified from her heat with a season's best time of 11.27 seconds to place third. She gets Lane 8 in her Semi-Final Heat 3 where she runs in a strong field comprising of Olympic Champion Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce, American Alexandria Anderson (PB-10.91), Keron Stewart (PB-10.96) and Bulgarian Ivet Lalova (PB-10.77)

Only the first two athletes from each of the three Semi-Final Heats qualify automatically, with the fastest two losers joining them in the Finals.
