Peter Odemwingie; Where will he play next season?
Just as the 2013/14 EPL season approaches, it is still unclear where Peter Odemwingie plays next season. Since his infamous failed moved to QPR last season, he has been more of an outcast within the club. So bad is the situation that he is made to change in a separate dressing room from the rest of the first team. And with lots of the clubs trying to distance themselves from him, not because of his undoubted talent
, but rather his perceived disruptive reputation, finding an ideal suitor is looking more and more bleak. Add to this is his resolve not to play in a lower division but the premiership where his talent truly belongs.
Fulham manager Jol mentioned Peter as a possible target but that ended there with no approach or offer made. In the last few days, it's been Premiership new boys, Crystal Palace. Sadly the valuation of the player
by both club differs. Palace are reported to be making an offer way below what WBA want for the striker.
But does WBA really need to hold on to him when it's obvious he's no longer wanted and his mind away from the club?? He has one year left on his contract and seeing it out won't be of any benefit to both club and player. Rather than make him see out his contract, WBA are better off cashing in now and both parties part ways amicably.
Hopefully, wherever he finds himself next season, he repays the club with his abilities as a footballer rather than tweeting himself into more trouble. He has the talent to do either.
