Ariel Ortega: Cry me a River.

Former Argentina and River Plate legend, Ariel Ortega provided the assist for his son Tomas, to score in his testimonial match on Saturday. Football starts like Romario, Juan Veron, Roberto Ayala, Enzo Francescoli, Saviola among many others featured in the match between River Plate XI and Ortega X1.

The star of the show however was 12 year old Tomas, who was picked out by Ortega Snr with a delightful pass at the edge of the box for him to calmly slot home beyond the goalkeeper.

And it was all too much for 'El Burrito' (the little donkey) as he burst into tears while celebrating the goal with his son.
Ortega had three spells with River Plate, played for Seria A clubs Sampdora and Parma as well as Valencia of Spain. Many will also remember him in the 1996 Olympics football finals against Nigeria. Playing alongside the likes of Hernan Crespo, Ayala, Javier Zanetti, Diego Simeone, Gustavo Lopez and other, they lost 2-3 in that final match.
Her's wishing the little magician all the best for the future.
